Providence’s motto, “Firmly Grounded, Fully Engaged,” is accomplished by coupling a strong academic program with a student life program that is both experiential and active.
Dean of Student Life, Steve Kortenhoeven, reflects: “As I look over all that our students experienced this past year, it is clear that Providence students are getting a first rate education, both inside and outside of the classroom.”
The students agree. Corby Nagel, a junior from Anaheim, California, states, “I think that is where Providence really has an edge... we are actually doing something while we are in college. We are not only learning about the world, but we are also doing something in the world. It is really how we as Christians should be... we should be doing something to make a difference.”
